Team Afro Fundraising Raffle at The Glen Hotel.

The Afro Mobile looking splendid with Wlison Jnr. and new Aussie Flag .

Nice smile Darren , ready to raise lots for the kids?

Team tactics meeting.. Darren & Loz listening as ..

Ross tells it how it is.

Afro green ... just your colour Dazza.

Lots of giggles , ready for a great Family Fun Day on the deck at The Glen Hotel.

This could be used as an official team photo ,but  where is Trina? Can't be photographer and model - will have to leave that to the boys.

Getting ready to draw the raffle. With help from mini Afro member Morgen.

The raffle was drawn by the duty manager Jen.

Darren packing up the give aways. A great day was had by all.
Thanks to THE GLEN Hotel for their generous donation of raffle prizes and support for our fundraising for Camp Quality.

More work on Afro Mobile - Wednesday effort

Back home , safe and sound - tow ball fitted.

Ross tidying up the welding on the tow bar... with Darren's "help".

Darren gave the bull bar and new tow bar a paint , make it all look spiffy and nice..Ross continued to offer his advice.

WILSON returns. For followers of last years Team Afro blog .. Wilson was a paddy melon found by the guys and who joined esCARpade. Wilson went to seed about December and had to be retired. RIP Wilson.

So meet Wilson's brother .. name yet to be determined.

Once the outside jobs were done , time to move inside.

Messy Ross.. yep that's Darren's thumb in shot.

Team Afro showing their patriotic side.

Darren adjusting the position of the siren control box.

An unusual position for microphone holders - I guess we don't need to adjust the lumbar support on the front seats after all.
Darren adjusting the indicator switches.. made for pulling the steering wheel apart ...

At this point the photographer was called into being a helping hand with the reinstallation , so thus no more photos. Be assured that the steering wheel was put back into place and all is well for TEAM AFRO's next adventure on Sunday at The Glen Hotel for their family fun day.

Look out for photos from the day in coming days

Afro Mobile - Front Tow Bar - Tuesday's effort

Tuesday brought and early start for Darren & Ross , with the diff oils to change , then moving onto getting a front tow bar installed.

The photos below say it all, some ingenuity, some cunning , some laughs and a whole lot of hard work.

Ross packing the car ready to roll

Ross assessing the situaution - now thats what you call bush mechanics.

This bit has got to go

HERE

Is this a self potrait Darren?

With much cutting , grinding and engineering one bracket was done.

Ross working with Bob Wright from Farm Implement Repairs , who kindly donated his time, premises and equipment to help Darren & Ross get the tow bar sorted.

Bob's dog thought it must have been safer to be far away as possible .

Just in case.....

It was about this that it was realised that none one was sure what was in the 44 gallon drum - lucky it all worked out OK.

Woo Hoo - it fits and looks good.

A definite self portrait - a good days work. Well done guys.
