Experience esCARpade 29th July 2012

Team Afro set off nice and early to head to Kilcoy for experience esCARpade and to meet up with the other teams from SE QLD. 

Scrutineering went well , except for a cooulpe of minor technical tweeks- like tightening the bolt on the steering control arm and putting in a split pin.

That was soon rectified by Darren & Gordon.

 

Next job on the list is to straighten out the front bash plate which is touching the the front diff - done!

Also gotta get a front tow ball fitted in the event that AFRO needs a helping hand out of trouble on esCARpade.

Thanks to 808 for the engineering idea.

 

Now we are looking at replacing the diff centre , as it was a bit noisy last year , got noisy again thsi year when turning corners under load - so as long as there are no corners on esCARpade route all shouls be OK.

 Another task to attend to is to move the fire exquisher , so both driver and passengers have access to one - another toy to play with. 

PS - new LED lights have been fitted thsi year with fuses , so our interior smoke screen should not activate this year.

Thanks to Sharkmobile for their suggestion of new GPS to keep us on the right track ... well hopefully the Km readings will be more accurate making Laurie's job easier.
