NINE DAYS TO GO

Well , the time has almost come for the guys and girl of TEAM AFRO to hit the road to Newcastle to begin the epic journey of esCARpade 2012.

The great news firstly is that with the support of all our sponsors , supporters and even those smaller donations ...WE DID IT ... we have raised over $20,000 for Camp Quality. WOO HOO , and as Julie from Brisbane Camp Quality HQ would say MEXICAN WAVE!!!!!!

Since the last blog post , the team has been busy doing more fundraising, at various places through Brisbane.

Damian was our spokes person for the day and master raffle drawer. A great day was had by all and more money raised for Camp Quality and the esCARpade total.

Darren & Trina joined Julie form Brisbane CQ and her husband to man the registration tent at STREET COMMODORES - CRUISE FOR CHARITY 9 on Sunday 30/10/12.

 With about 600 Commodores ready to hit the highway from Murrarie to Southport - the Police were needed to stop traffic and let the cruise through.

TEAM AFRO are not ready to stop fundraising yet - with Grill'd at Garden City supporting them through their month LOCAL MATTERS donation program. So if you would like to further support TEAM AFRO and Camp Quality - go buy a burger and put your bottle top in the TEAM AFRO jar and help us get the best donation possible.

So now it's time to pack our bags , check the car one last time, fuel up , tell work not to miss us and hit the road for Newcastle.
