WEDNESDAY 17th OCTOBER GRIFFITH - WAGGA WAGGA

Wednesday was to bring our first school visit , so after breakfast we went to Griffith Primary School to meet the children from Kindy and primary classes . Children from the special school also came over to check out the cars and meet some of the characters from esCarpade and get some presents too.

Another day of collections , today there were lots of photos to collect - a photo of your team member with someone with a beard. easy in this team - all boys have beards.

Another photo was to get a photo hugging a stranger , here's Daz getting a massive hug from one of the ladies who was helping with breakfast.

After some water fights and fun and games with the children , we went into the hall to watch the puppet show.

The puppets Dean & Kylie withe puppeteers Amy and Shannon.

After leaving the school , Treen drove to Jerilderie . The roads were flat and long heading west to Wagga Wagga.

The afternoon fun stop was hosted by the Hi Rollers , the aim of this stop was to raise $880 to send one more child to camp for a week . There were various games including golf pitching, which Laurie took to , quoits and coin toss closest to the bottle (shown below).

The coin that landed closest to the bottle would win ... it was so close that two people had to have a rematch at dinner that night.
Darren & Tony thought that maybe if they didn't break the chain they could get cloder to the bottle of spirits and maybe , just maybe win them!

Dinner was at Wagga Wagga RSL - a typical night for Darren & Trina - a buffet roast and trivia.

Monika was presented with a blinged step stool , a friendly joke and helpful addition for her trip through esCarpde.
Ross's puppy from last year was returned by Jill from Health in a Hurry. Along with a card from the rest of the litter - they would be waiting for us at Culcairn tomorrow.
